FAQs - Photography Studio hire 

1. How much are the studios?

Rates are variable & dependent on your job usage - ie. editorial , packaging, Ads etc. 

Rates available via phone or email and we will always help your budget where possible.

2. Do you charge overtime?

Yes - studio hours unless otherwise agreed are 9am-6pm so overtime is charged for whole (or part) hours outside of these hours - including courier deliveries/pick ups.

3. How do I book a studio?

Please phone or email to discuss availability and we'll book you in.

4. Do you provide catering and/or hot drinks? 

We provide free tea/coffee/water facilities. 

90% of visitors arrange catering via Uber Eats or other delivery apps but we have very good local options (cafes & restaurants) which we can help pre order.

5. Do you provide any backdrops and/or props?

We have some surfaces & coloramas in the studios which can be used for additional hire fees. 

6. Is there parking available?

Yes - there is one free parking space included per studio. Additional vehicles can use road permits (£15 per day per vehicle) which will be added to invoice  

7. Does the studio include any lighting and equipment?

A camera stand, computer table, poly boards & trestle table are included. 

We also offer for hire a couple of Aputure lighting bundles, C stands, Auto poles, Atomos Sumo 19in monitor.

Other photographic equipment hire can be arranged.  We use Fixation/Wex which is 5 mins walk around the corner, as well as shoot & kitchen equipment companies like Get Set Hire.

8. Is this only a daylight studio or can be a blackout as well? 

Smaller "Hire" studio in particular is great for daylight but majority of shoots in both studios are lit

9. Is there a hair & make up unit and/or styling station or a space to set one up? 

It is common on bigger jobs to hire both studios so the smaller studio can be used for wardrobe / HMU or model / client / castings overflow. Both studios have their own bathrooms.

10. What power outlets - and how many - do you have available? 

Hire studio has 5 double sockets. Main studio has 8 double sockets for shooting area. Both studios can also run 3 phase.

11. Are their any useful shops nearby? Supermarkets?

Yes there is a very good choice of supermarkets; Nisa/Co-op (200 m) 1 min walk, Tesco Superstore (0.3 miles) 6 minute walk, Sainsbury Superstore (1.1 mile) 9 minute drive

plus a Hardware store 1 minute walk - and an Art shop - 3 min walk.

12. What if I need to cancel a booking?

Bookings must be confirmed or released before 72 hours of visit.

13. Payment - how do I pay?

Payment terms are strictly WITHIN 30 days of your visit.  In case of extras (i.e. overtime & parking permits) we will send an invoice with bank details after your visit, via email. Quick payers can get favourable rates on future bookings :)

14. Can we come and have a recce?
